Organisational Excellence Workshop
From August 10 to 12, 2026, PT. Delima International Indonesia hosted a three-day workshop in Bandung themed “International Best Practices for Achieving Organizational Excellence.” Led by Dr. Bob McDonald, PhD, a Balanced Scorecard practitioner with more than 25 years of experience, the workshop brought together business owners and organizational leaders from diverse sectors, including F&B, e-commerce and web development, education, and nonprofit organizations. Participants included advisory and executive board chairpersons of foundations in Bandung, as well as the Director of Bandung International School. Through discussions, practical exercises, and case studies, participants explored strategic planning, strategic mapping, organizational culture, and various tools used in strategic management. The diverse backgrounds of the participants also created opportunities for meaningful discussions, allowing them to exchange perspectives and examine how different strategies and management challenges could be applied to real organizational contexts.
The impact of the workshop was reflected in the participants’ responses. One participant shared that the workshop had exceeded expectations and helped the team think more clearly about its strategic plan and strategic mapping, including how the organization could move forward with a clearer understanding of who they are, what they do, and why they exist. Another participant highlighted the value of combining different strategic management tools into a powerful approach for supporting organizational success, while also appreciating Dr. McDonald’s ability to explain the concepts clearly and respond to participants’ questions.

The practical nature of the workshop was also highly valued, particularly the opportunity to discuss new strategies and apply analyses of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats to real-life business case studies. Beyond strategy, participants identified organizational culture, communication gaps, and generational differences as challenges that strongly resonated with their own experiences, encouraging them to reconsider and potentially revise aspects of their organizations using the lessons gained during the program.
Overall, the workshop provided more than theoretical insights; it encouraged participants to reflect on their organizations and consider practical steps toward stronger alignment, more effective leadership, and improved organizational performance. The interactive approach, combined with the diversity of participants and Dr. McDonald’s extensive experience, helped connect strategic concepts with challenges faced by organizations in everyday practice.

Participants expressed enthusiasm for the program and a desire to continue learning, with some noting that the breadth of the topics introduced would benefit from further, more detailed sessions. Their feedback also demonstrated a strong interest in future workshops, particularly as they continue to develop strategies, strengthen organizational culture, and apply the knowledge gained to achieve sustainable organizational excellence. Through initiatives such as this, PT. Delima International Indonesia continues to create spaces where business and organizational leaders can learn, exchange ideas, and turn strategic thinking into meaningful action.
